Let me start off by saying that I'm sorry that I haven't written anything in a while. To be completely honest, I'm not much of a writer, "then why did you decide to make a blog?" because I thought that it would interesting. If you have a problem with that, then write it on a piece of paper and flush it down the toilet. I like writing about things when I have something to write about. I know most people have a specific topic that they write about on their blogs but that's just not me. There's my little speech and now on to something else.
Thanksgiving! Who had a great or maybe interesting Thanksgiving? Mine was so much fun, I absolutely love seeing my family and spending time with them. Oddly, I don't think I would have ever said something like that a few years ago. They all used to annoy me so much but now I can't picture my life without them. I love my family and I will do anything for them. But back to Thanksgiving, we had dinner at my grandma's and my aunt was able to get the day off, she's a nurse and usually doesn't get thanksgiving off. My older sister and her boyfriend came over also my mom and little sister flew down from Colorado. We also went to Anthem and saw the tallest tree in the nation, 110 feet. My little 2 year old cousin sat on Santa's lap and told him what he wanted for Christmas and then he kept trying to go back saying he wanted to see "his Santa". I can't believe he went right up to him, at what age do kids not want to visit Santa anymore? He is such a cutie! That was about the majority of my Thanksgiving, I know very exciting but I've decided that I just love being around my family. Well, that's all for now. I will try to write more often but don't hold me to anything.

Questions I have
So here are some questions about the Bible/Christianity that I've been thinking about.
Disciples were sent out to preach the word of God but now we call them missionaries, why the difference?
Why do we close our eyes and fold our hands when we pray?
Who in the world did Cain marry?
In Genesis 6:2 it talks about the "Sons of God" and someone told me that meant angels; it goes on to state that they married women, how is that possible?
Where are the giants mentioned in the Bible? (Genesis 6:4)
Why did God work with just the Jews until Jesus came?
What was Jesus doing those 3 days that he was buried?

Summer part 1
My summer has been awesome! Before it started, I thought it would be boring because I thought no one that I knew would be up ehre. That is not what happened. I found out that there are friends up here and they have made it the best summer ever. Two friends in particular have been so awesome and helpful to me. I can't even begin to describe how thankful and lucky I am to know them. they invite me to hang out with them even if we end up playing video games. Also, they have fed so much this summer. I wish I could pay them back for this.
Now on to the rest of the summer. Classes are good, I mgiht actually pass my math class this time. Third times a charm. I haven't missed any classes either. Outside of classes has been so much fun. My birthday passed and now I'm 20. Woohoo!!! For my birthday, I went over to Andrew's house and made my favorite Italian dish for Andrew and Jesse. They surprised me with a room full of balloons and some presents. My favorite present was the movie "The Dark Knight" which now means that I ahve all the Batman movies on DVD. Another fun thing was going to the lava tubes. They were so much fun! Kind of like rock climbing, but on a much smaller scale, which I love. Afterwards, I went to a deaf meeting lind of thing. It was interesting and I got 2 sign names, one is the sign for "be quiet" cause I'm quiet and the other one is the sign for alcohol cause my name is Brandy. Another summer highlight was the Prayer House. It is a really cool place and such a pretty house. one of the girls there prayed encouragement for me and it was so nice. Well, that's all for now but the summer is only halfway through.

another philosophy question
I knew there was one more question that I wanted to put down. Here it is:
Say you and a friend are hiking when suddenly your friend falls and breaks his leg. You don't have any cell phone reception and oyur friend can't move. You tell him that you will be right back and you run back to the car. When you get there you still don't have reception and the car won't start. You notice a car close to yours and happen to see that the keys are in the car also. Would you take the car? What if the owner of the car comes back before you can get the car back? Is it considered stealing?

Philosophy
Here are some questions/scenarios that I had to think about in my philosophy class.
1) Can God create a rock so heavy that he can't lift it?
2) You are shipwrecked on an island so you decide to go look around. You come upon a group of natives who are about to sacrifice a nine year old girl to their gods. The natives have not seen you yet. What do you do?
3) You are a hospital administrator and you have five nobel peace prize winning scientists in your hospital all needing a different organ. These scientists are all discovering a cure for some life threatening illness. Suddenly, a homeless guy walks in with a broken arm and you find out that he is a perfect match for all five scientists. He has no family or friends no one to miss him, he used to be a banker but embezzled so much money and was discovered and fired. What would you do?
Well, those are actually the only things I wanted to pose to you all. Please, tell me what you think especially about the third one.

It's been a while...
Since I last wrote a blog. I don't know what to write about but I know that I'll think of something. It's a really pretty day today so I decided to wear a dress and for some reason I'm carefree! I'm not a big dress wearer so I think it's weird that I'm happy while wearing one.lol. That may sound really weird but in my head there was logic.
Oh! There's a new movie coming out and I can't wait to see it!! It's called "Beastly" and it's based on the book by Alex Flinn. It looks really intersting and I'm so excited for it. It's a modern day version of "Beauty and the Beast" which is my all time favorite movie ever! I've seen a trailer for this movie and I think it's going to be awesome! As long as I don't read the book first and therefore can't compare them.
Another topic, have you seen the show "Deadliest Warrior"? It is a really cool show. It takes two famous warriors from history (i.e. William WAllace and Shaka Zulu) and their weapons and decides which one will be the better warrior or which one would win in a match up. I really like it because it's comparing different historical times. There's also one where they match up a knight and a pirate. They even do computer similations of an actual fight to see which one would really win. They do the similation a thousand times just to see the many different outcomes. I think it's so cool and I would recommend that everyone watches it atleast once. I don't know when it's on, I just watch it online.
Finals week is almost here! I can't wait to be done with my kinda boring business classes. Sadly, I'll be here this summer taking other boring business classes. It'll be great though. I keep telling myself that in hopes that I might actually start believing it.
Well, that's all I can really think of to write about. I think I mgiht just go back to writing stories. I find them more intersting than random babbling that I do. You can disagree if you want but keep in my mind that that is my own personally opinion.
Later, Brandy

Another unfinished story
Rain puddles were everywhere and, of course, I had to jump in every single one of them. My mom hates it when I do that but i just can't help myself.
I'm about to jump into the biggest puddle I've ever seen when I notice some-
"Mike! Don't you dare jump in that puddle", my mother yells for tehe third time.
"I'm not. I see something shiny" By the look on her face, I know she doesn't believe me. I don't mind though, she hardly ever believes me unless there's proof. I go back to looking at the puddle; there is definitely something shiny, it's something big.
My mom starts to look the other way and I take the opportunity to reach in and grab whatever the item is. Suddenly, I'm sucked into the water. I'm falling towards the shiny object but it's getting bigger and bigger until I realize that I'm falling towards a city. Excitement rushes through me at the chance for an adventure until I notice that I'm about to hit the sidewalk extremely hard. I brace myself and...
Nothing, there's no pain. I open my eyes and realize that I've landed on a mattress which starts to move! Finally I notice that the mattress is in the back of a flat-bed truck. I decided to just take a ride on the truck until I saw more of this new city I had landed in. Four stoplights later, I heard someone yelling at turned to see a couple of officers running towards the very truck I was on. Now seemed about the right time to get off and run.
I ran two blocks before the officers caught up with me. I heard a gunshot and ducked without even thinking. As soon as I hit the ground another shot went off and a huge pain spread through my entire leg and I blacked out.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!
I had a really great, awesome Christmas break. I didn't really do anything exciting but just being around family is fun in itself. I went to Colorado Springs and hung out with my mom, little sister Becca, and our dog Junior. That first week we didn't really do anything because Becca was still in school but the second week (the week of Christmas) was fun. one of my mom's friends, Dolores, invited us over for lunch one day, we had a delicious casserole. While we were there the church that my mom attends gave Dolores groceries and asked her to give them to us. I love how generous people are. They knew that my mom was struggling financially and they wanted to make sure we had food for Christmas. I love that God works in people's hearts. Well, on Christmas Day I got to make lasagna (my family's part Italian so we have lasagna) and it was delicious. Oh yeah! I forgot to mention the snow. A couple of days before Christmas it snowed and we got to go sledding down our driveway. Junior didn't like the sled and kept trying to bite it every time we got the bottom of the hill. My mom was funny also cause she was afraid that we would sled all the way out into the street and then get hit by a car, so she stood at the bottom of the hill inorder to stop us before we reached the street. It was so funny watching her try to stop us. After that we went to the front of the house and made a snowman (my mom was obsessed with making one). The snowman was interesting because no one in my family has the skills to make a snowman so it ened up being a pile of snow about 2 feet tall with a scarf wrapped around him and buttons for a smile and eyes. He was a cute little snowman. Then Becca decided to put her top hat on him but my mom was worried that it would blow away, instead Becca shaped a hat onto his head and then used food coloring in a spray bottle to color it blue. Then my mom and Becca had a snowball fight while I watched and Junior kept trying to get them to stop. He would run back and forth barking and jumping on them, then he started to eat the snowman!! I was amazed that he didn't get a brain freeze. By this time we were all freezing so we decided to go inside and get warm, yummy hot cocoa.
So the week after that was New Year's week and we had fun then also. One day we woke up really early in the morning and walked to Care and Share Food Bank and volunteered there in the morning. Becca was so funny about it. First she didn't want to go because she didn't want to walk, then when we were ready to leave for home she didn't want to stop volunteering. The mind of a 12 almost 13 year old. Those were about the most exciting things we did all break and now I can't think of anything else to talk about. So, that's all for now.
