It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

I had a really great, awesome Christmas break. I didn't really do anything exciting but just being around family is fun in itself. I went to Colorado Springs and hung out with my mom, little sister Becca, and our dog Junior. That first week we didn't really do anything because Becca was still in school but the second week (the week of Christmas) was fun. one of my mom's friends, Dolores, invited us over for lunch one day, we had a delicious casserole. While we were there the church that my mom attends gave Dolores groceries and asked her to give them to us. I love how generous people are. They knew that my mom was struggling financially and they wanted to make sure we had food for Christmas. I love that God works in people's hearts. Well, on Christmas Day I got to make lasagna (my family's part Italian so we have lasagna) and it was delicious. Oh yeah! I forgot to mention the snow. A couple of days before Christmas it snowed and we got to go sledding down our driveway. Junior didn't like the sled and kept trying to bite it every time we got the bottom of the hill. My mom was funny also cause she was afraid that we would sled all the way out into the street and then get hit by a car, so she stood at the bottom of the hill inorder to stop us before we reached the street. It was so funny watching her try to stop us. After that we went to the front of the house and made a snowman (my mom was obsessed with making one). The snowman was interesting because no one in my family has the skills to make a snowman so it ened up being a pile of snow about 2 feet tall with a scarf wrapped around him and buttons for a smile and eyes. He was a cute little snowman. Then Becca decided to put her top hat on him but my mom was worried that it would blow away, instead Becca shaped a hat onto his head and then used food coloring in a spray bottle to color it blue. Then my mom and Becca had a snowball fight while I watched and Junior kept trying to get them to stop. He would run back and forth barking and jumping on them, then he started to eat the snowman!! I was amazed that he didn't get a brain freeze. By this time we were all freezing so we decided to go inside and get warm, yummy hot cocoa.
So the week after that was New Year's week and we had fun then also. One day we woke up really early in the morning and walked to Care and Share Food Bank and volunteered there in the morning. Becca was so funny about it. First she didn't want to go because she didn't want to walk, then when we were ready to leave for home she didn't want to stop volunteering. The mind of a 12 almost 13 year old. Those were about the most exciting things we did all break and now I can't think of anything else to talk about. So, that's all for now.
